Topic - Woman and mild sleep problems equals big trouble
We girls really have nothing better to do. Oh sure, let’s just take a nap …Not. Between work, family and life in general, there’s too much to do and not enough time. Now, we’re learning that even mild sleep problems may lead to higher blood pressure. You know about high blood pressure, right? It’s the silent killer that causes stroke and kidney damage all the while you’re thinking that every little thing is fine. We women are at greater risk of sleep issues and we suffer from chronic insomnia twice as often as men. We have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. If men have these problems, they don’t suffer from higher blood pressure the way we do. And, get this. Even if you sleep for 7 to 9 hours a night and still have difficulty falling and staying asleep, you’re still going to have higher blood pressure. Take this stuff seriously. Get a blood pressure cuff for home use and monitor it. Go to bed!
