Topic - The CDC says, “Stop washing your chicken!”

The CDC recommends we stop washing chicken before we cook it.  Why? Apparently, they don’t trust us. Chicken has very dangerous bacteria, but I’m not going to stop washing it with cold water and salt to get the goo off.  I create a “theater” first. I push everything away. I put the chicken in the sink, carefully wrap up, and throw away the container. I keep the chicken low in the sink, wrap the salt box, pick it up and dump it on.  I run a calm stream of water from the faucet, wrap the meat in paper towels and move it to the pot. Then, I begin the haz-mat clean-up with a spray bottle of 50/50 bleach and water. I blast the area. I spray it on my hands.  If you don’t want to put in the time, then throw the chicken in the pot. If you’re careless, washing it or not, you’re gonna get sick. Just sayin’…
