Topic - I’m a PUC
Most of us are people under construction. We have a wide variety of strengths and weaknesses, skills, illnesses, responsibilities, experiences, and expectations of ourselves and others. Many times, when we interact with people, we make assumptions that they’re like us, but that’s a mistake and can lead to misunderstandings, hurt feelings and damaged relationships. Even when we encounter people we know well, do a quick check in your mind to consider that the circumstances of their lives may have changed. Is someone they love ill? Is their job in danger? Do they have a new boss who’s difficult? What could be going on that would change your typical encounter? The bottom line is that whenever we engage people, judgment should be suspended because we just don’t know “what” is going with them. Be careful about your conclusions. Give them a wide berth and maybe a second chance.
