Topic - New Vaping Dangers
More Americans are using electronic cigarettes and the consequences are ugly. Young vapers are showing up in doctor’s offices with bloody lesions in their mouths and throats that won’t heal. The vapors inflame mouth cells in ways that cause gum disease. Why is this a problem? Because the more your gums hurt, the less you’ll brush and earlier than not, your teeth will fall out. Mouth sores and gum disease are just a few of the effects of vaping. The most serious problems happen when you inhale hot chemicals into your lungs which lead to chronic bronchitis. The chemicals impact the immune system, too. Even minor wounds don’t heal as quickly because the immune system is compromised. We have no idea what the long-term results of vaping are going to look like. There are just so many variables including the age when kids start, whether or not they’re using atomizers or dripping the fluids over the super-hot coils. Teach your kids about vaping.
